Mucho was founded in 2019 with the core vision of bringing the latest technologies to small local businesses so they can thrive in the internet age.
E-commerce was born with the single goal of allowing the end customer to shop anything he or she wanted without leaving the comfort of their own home. Convenience was its strong selling point, and since it’s inception, e-commerce took the world by storm.
And with rapid growth, many new terms and technologies were born out of necessity to meet consumer demand. Words like Growth Hacking, Conversion Optimisation, Bounce Rates as well as technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Marketing Automation are now synonym with what you need in order to build a store.
These set of new practices and technologies allowed a few subset of companies to capture most of the pie. Giants like Amazon, eBay and Etsy now represent the majority of the market in terms of dollars spent on e-commerce.
While there is nothing nefarious about this sudden technological evolution it did however left millions of local businesses behind as they couldn’t compete with price, distribution and even speed of delivery.
However, the new generation of consumers are changing their habits and are valuing something that the giants can’t deliver.
